Background: In the patients with acute exacerbated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD), gut displays ischemia, anoxia and oxidative stress, which lead to intestinal barrier failure. Therefore, it is desirable screen for effective barrier-related biomarkers monitor severity.
